The village of Knowl Hill is situated about four and a half miles west of Maidenhead. It is mainly located along the Bath Road (A4), ‘Around the Hill’, the area to the south and the Choseley housing estate to the north of the Bath Road. It is unequally divided between the Parishes of Hurley to the west and a smaller portion in Wargrave to the east.

The Parish Church of St Peters dates from the mid 19th century and is located to the south of the Bath Road. The village was famous for the Star Brickworks which closed in the late 90’s.

The modern Village Hall is a large and well used facility and there are several pubs – originally coaching inns – along the Bath Road. Knowl Hill C of E Primary School takes children up to the age of 11 and the village has a ‘Kick About’ area and playground run by the Parish Council.
